Linda Lou Burnett, 74, of Vidor, passed away peacefully in her home on August 18, 2021. Linda was born in Vidor, Texas on April 7, 1947 to Lou and Bessie Smith and remained a lifelong resident where she was a homemaker. She married the love of her life, Howard "Andy" Burnett on April 20, 1985.
Linda enjoyed adventures with her family, slumber parties with her daughters, long phone conversations with her son and avidly shopping on Amazon. One of the biggest things she was known for was being young at heart. She bought her first motorcycle and got her first tattoo in her fifties, then went on to parasail in her sixties. One would describe her as equal parts sweet and sass.
Linda is survived by her four children; Karyn Lewis, Kathy Moore and husband Clay, David Kerr and wife Tina and Joy Ferguson; Siblings Diann Whitworth and husband Gator, Buddy Smith and wife Sue, Judy Collier, Glen Smith and wife Janet, Hank Smith and wife Sandy, Tony Smith and wife Emily; Seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Howard "Andy" Burnett; Parents, Lou and Bessie Smith; Brother Ricky Smith and Grand-Daughter Ashlee Guidry.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Lucas, Cody Marley, Cameron Kruger, Dillon Kruger, Clay Moore, and Max Miller.
Linda's visitation will be Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Turning Point Church in Vidor from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm. Her funeral services will be Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Turning Point Church at 2:00 pm with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.
