Kristen Carol Verde

On April 8, 2026, at 8:57 a.m., Kristen Carol Verde (50) was surrounded by her loved ones as she went home to meet her Lord and Savior. Kristi was born on July 5, 1975, in Beaumont, Texas, and grew up in Lumberton, Texas, where she was known and loved by many. She was a resilient single mother to her two children, whom she lived for—a loving daughter, sister, aunt, a lover of animals- especially her dog Scruffy, and a wonderful friend. Kristi worked for the State of Texas for 17 years, where she built a career she valued, along with many lasting friendships and cherished memories.

Kristi is survived by her parents, Connie and Buster Mitchell, and Jay Verde; her children, Dyllan Verde and Brittany Voorhies and boyfriend Jawon, her brothers, Ryan Verde and wife Jessica, Trey Mitchell and wife Jill, Josh Mitchell and wife Danielle, her sister, Kallye Gallet and husband Shawn, and her step-sister, Erin Watts and family, along with five nieces, four nephews, and a great nephew on the way.

Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, April 13, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at SETX Church, 8060 Eastex Fwy Beaumont, TX 77708. Kristen’s life honoring memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2026, at SETX Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens in Nederland, TX.
