Karen Goudeau Obituary

Karen Annmarie Goudeau

1965 – 2019

Karen Annmarie Goudeau was born to Eugene and Maxine Goudeau in Beaumont, TX on March 27, 1965.  Born the only daughter and being raised with seven brothers, life was fun and adventurous, but also made her a strong woman.  She loved deeply, but she was also a woman who gave ‘tough love’ to those she held dear.  She was caring, encouraging, and had a kind word to all those she met and would not hesitate to help those she cared about.  She truly loved her children and having fun with them, watching movies, playing UNO, supporting Christopher, her son, at his school football games, and attending her daughter, Mariah’s, sign language performances at church.   She was always there with a loving ear to listen to her children and would let them know that “Everything’s gonna be alright.”  She was a very hard worker, starting with her first job at Toys R Us in Arizona through her time with Dollar General in Sour Lake, where she had to leave due to the decline of her health.

She loved traveling to see the beauty of the world around her.  She traveled with her children to see the Grand Canyon on several occasions and loved going to Crystal Beach to visit her brother, Darrell.  Once, even making the trip from Beaumont to Arizona by train with her children.

No matter how far away she was from her brothers, whether living in Texas or AZ, she kept them close to her heart and was faithful to reach out to them regularly to discuss life and let them know they were loved.

Left to honor her memory is her loving children, Christopher Goudeau of Beaumont, TX and Mariah Moore of Sour Lake, TX; her brothers, Anthony Goudeau of Beaumont, TX, Darrell Goudeau of Tolleson, AZ, Christopher and Todd Trent of Mesa, AZ, and Patrick Goudeau of Austin, TX.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Eugene and Maxine Goudeau and brothers, Keith Goudeau and John DeSean Trent.
