Joy Lynn Brown, age 58, of Beaumont, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025. She was born in April 12, 1966, in Beaumont, TX, to Thomas and Betty Andrus Brown.
A special lady whose life radiated love, contentment, and faith. She was a friend, a person of kindness, devotion, and warmth which her name so perfectly embodied. Joy was a devoted mother to her beloved daughter, Laura, her only child and brightest joy. Her love for Laura was boundless, and her cherished family meant everything to her. A good listener, Joy possessed a gentle soul, shy and private yet always ready to brighten a moment with her humor and love. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, as she served the Lord and proudly remained a lifetime member of Sabine Tabernacle. Her musical talents were a gift that she shared with her church community, singing and playing alongside her mother and father. Coming from a family enriched by music, Joy’s love for melodies extended beyond performance; she was an avid collector of vinyl records, holding dear the songs and bands of the past that brought her joy. True to her name, Joy was a delight to be around, a source of smiles and genuine happiness for all who knew her. Her compassionate heart extended to her calling as a nurse, where she dedicated her life to caring for others with selflessness and tenderness. Her sweet nature and content spirit enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Joy’s memory will forever remain a blessing to her family, friends, and all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and the music she held dear, a reminder that the beauty of life can be found in the harmony of quiet moments and heartfelt connections. As she passed from this life, she entered into the Promised Land, to the welcoming arms of the Lord she so dearly loved.
Left to honor her memory is her daughter, Laura Brown Valle and husband, Alexei; her father, Tom Brown; aunt, Betty Ann Brown; dear friends, Janie Fore Price and Carolyn Haskett; her church family; and a host of extended family friends and loved ones.
Preceding Joy in death is her mother and her cat, Kitty.
