Joseph Tyler Holcombe, age 37, of Lumberton, TX, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026. He was born on May 16, 1988, in Beaumont, TX.

He was someone who marched to the beat of his own drum, a quality that made him unforgettable. His kindness and his easygoing nature shaped every relationship. Joe was, above all else, devoted to his family. He was a proud father who cherished time spent gaming with his daughter, Melody. His bond with his mother was deep; he was definitely a momma’s boy. Her cooking, especially her tacos, remained his favorite meal. His easygoing nature made him the kind of person others gravitated toward; steady, welcoming, and always ready with a smile. Those who loved him will remember him for the way he made them feel. He cared deeply and loved fully.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Melody Rae-Ann Holcombe; mother, Janie Fore Price; father, Terry Holcombe and wife, Sandra; brother, Timothy Joshua Holcombe; step brother, Will Launchberry; step sister, Charlotte Launchberry; and a host of  aunts, uncles, extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Joseph's life honoring memorial service will be held on February 28, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
