Jonathan Allen Droddy, age 32, of Vidor, Texas passed from this life on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. He was born in Beaumont, TX on November 23, 1989, to Roy Darrell (R.D.) and Margie Ann Droddy.
A beloved and steadfast Christian believer, a faithful and treasured friend, all who knew Jonathan, knew of his devotion, his care, and his humility. He was sincere in his belief and worship. Jonathan was quiet, observing the world around him and the folks in it and, when he spoke, it was with intention and purpose. His desire was his family, sharing a close relationship with each of them. In him, they saw a protector, who supported and encouraged without the need for words, but through his action and presence; Jonathan was their gentle giant. One of his greatest treasures, was that the footsteps of life lead him back into the arms of the Lord, to be counted among his church family and where also he would discover the companion to his heart, Crystal. It was love; it was beautiful, and every day burned brighter and grew. Marrying on July 12, 2021, their love was seconded only by their friendship, and it was a union that strengthened more their devotion to their renewal in the Holy Spirit. Though Jonathan is gone, he passed into his inheritance with the love and affection of his brothers and sisters in Christ, his family, and his darling Crystal, opening his eyes on the other side to be greeted by his Heavenly family. His loved ones on Earth will miss him, until the day appointed that they see him again.
Left to honor his memory is beloved wife and best friend, Crystal Marie Droddy; his parents; children, Brylee, Jude, Wyatt, and Lyla; brothers, Stephen Droddy and Justin Droddy and wife, Jalissa; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.
Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church, 18905 I-10, Vidor, TX 77662.
