Johnnie Wing Jr.

Johnnie Wing Jr., 87, of Lumberton, TX, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026. He was born May 24, 1938, in Sulphur, LA, to Katie Fazande and Johnnie Wing Sr.

Known for his sweetness, generosity, and kind heart, passed away leaving warm memories with all who knew him. He loved fishing, especially tournament days spent beside his son, along with golf outings and regular casino trips that brought him joy. At home, the Western Channel was always on, filling his days with the classic shows he loved. He also enjoyed metal detecting with a close friend, always eager to find small treasures. Johnnie was a Christian and a believer, living his faith through the gentle way he treated others. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Left to honor his memory is his son, Kevin Wing, and wife, Paige; daughter, Johnna McConnel; brother, Rodney Wing; grandchildren, Jacqueline Lynch and husband, Jason, Hannah Hardy and husband, Garrett, Addie Wing, Christian McConnell, and Alex McConnel; great-grandchildren, Wells, Mary Alice, Watson, Davis, Jack, Theo, and Noah; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mollie Sue Wing.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S Main St. Lumberton, TX 77657. Interment will follow at RS Farmer Cemetery in Silsbee.
