John Hebert, Jr. Obituary

John Henry Hebert, Jr. of Beaumont, Texas passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was born in Orange, Texas on July 14, 1943. As a high school student, he was a Welter-weight Golden Glove boxer. In his 20’s he joined the United States Marine Corps. He was stationed in San Diego, served in Thailand, Okinawa, Japan and had an amazing experience climbing Mount Fuji with the locals. He was the number 1 car salesman in the USA while employed at Meterie Ford in New Orleans. When Johnny attended the UPC in Baton Rouge, he headed the nursing home ministry.  Johnny loved his career as a specialty welder and even went as far as certifying as an inspector; many specialists in this field recognized him for his expertise. In his midlife he met Deborah the “love of his life” and had two boys Tyler and Matthew.  Johnny was an outdoorsman; he loved fishing, animals, and people.  Johnny was a great cook with a fantastic green thumb.  His love of God kept him through any troubles he encountered. His close relationship with the Lord was inspiring to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Henry and Mildred Hebert Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Hebert; sons, Todd Edwin Hebert, Jonathan Tyler Hebert, and Matthew Logan Hebert; a daughter, Chelsa Langlois; sisters, Sandra Hebert Byrd, and Pamela Ryder; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
