Jody Buck Garrett, 42, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 in Georgia. Jody was born in Beaumont on November 18, 1978 to Allan Roy Garrett and Glinda Ruth Birdwell.
Jody was one of five children and grew up knowing the value of family. This core value and tenant would guide Jody’s life as he found his wife and had children of his own. An artist gifted in 3D design particularly, Jody had a degree in Fine Arts that he put to use providing for his family. While earning his degree, Jody met his wife Margo and began the happiest period of his life. Jody and Margo were raising four amazing children together, and Jody’s love of being a father was evident in his involvement and dedication to their children. Jody was the kind of man who wanted the best for his family and all those around him; to quote him directly, he “just wants to spread love and kindness.” This loving and loyal man will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched and will not soon be forgotten.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Margo Bean Garrett; his children, Madeline, Isaac, Liam, and Sonny; his mother and bonus father, Al and Glinda Cole; his grandmother, Mabel Foster; his siblings, Angie Jinks and spouse Clayton, Josie Moss and spouse Brian, Misti Montalvo and spouse Carlos, Chris Cole, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Jody was preceded in death by his father, Allan Roy Garrett.
