Jimmy "Bubba" Whitmire Jr.

Jimmy “Bubba” Whitmire Jr., age 70, of Vidor, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023. He was born October 12, 1952, in Beaumont, TX, to Jimmy and Mercille Whitmire.

Bubba was a retired machinist. He loved fishing and hunting. He was a loving father and husband. He loved his many grandkids. He was loved and will be missed greatly.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years, Janet Whitmire of Vidor, TX; sister, Peggy Benson; children, Jason Whitmire and James Whitmire both of Vidor, TX, Robert Whitmire and wife Dwana, of Bridge City, TX, Michael Whitmire and wife Jennifer, of Silsbee, TX; grandkids, Quentin, Eric, Alyssa, Jamey, Corbin, Garrison, and Sadie Whitmire; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 more on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents.

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Bubba’s life honoring funeral will begin at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023, also at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
