Obituary
Jannie Faye Nix, 77, of Kirbyville, TX, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023. Jannie Edwards was born on November 12, 1945, in Port Arthur, TX to her parents Lawrence J. and Mae (Moore) Edwards.
Jannie was an amazing artist and saw beauty in all things. She was a devoted mother, being a school chaperone for many different clubs for her children. When younger she worked as a Lab and X-ray technician. Later, she owned an Automotive Parts and Repair shop. She was an active member of ALANON for over 20 plus years and huge supporter of Alcoholics Anonymous for just as many years traveling all over the state for various meetings and group events and she helped by providing the sound equipment for the events and recorded all the testimonies of members. Jannie loved gardening, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was preceded by both her parents, and all her siblings, three brothers and a sister.
Jannie is survived by her lifelong partner, James B. Nix; children, daughter, Teresa Geeslin, and son, Jimmy Nix and wife Lynne’, grandchildren, Bryant Jordan and wife April, Ajae Geeslin, Jewett Nix and wife Ravyn, and Sunee Sims and husband Taylor; and 5 great grandchildren.
Cremation has been entrusted to Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
