Mr. James Clifford "Buddy" Raymer, 94, of Orange passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Born in Merryville, LA on August 16, 1927 , he was the son of James Benjamin Raymer and Ezora Raymer (Lavine) Bishop. James served bravely in World War II with the US Army. On top of being a war hero, he was his family's biggest hero as well. He was the best father and husband , and set a precedent for his children. James love his Lord with his whole heart and attended Marantha Christian Center. He loved fishing and watching Westerns, especially Gun Smoke. James had a heart of gold and a generous soul, always willing to nurture and help anyone he crossed paths with. He will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love him.

 James is survived by his children: Janet Sedoruk and husband Henry Michael of Buna, Donald Raymer and wife Tonya of Orange, Carolyn Gardner of Orange, Robert Raymer and wife Susie of Orange, Bruce Raymer and wife Jennifer of Deweyville; his 16 grandchildren; his 8 great-grandchildren; his daughter-in-law, Marion Raymer; and a host of friends and extended family members throughout the years.

Preceding James in death are his parents, James Raymer and Ezora Bishop; his beloved wife Mary Jeanette Raymer; his sons James Ray Raymer and Clifford Lynn Raymer; daughter-in-law Peggy Raymer; son-in-law Mark Gardner; and numerous siblings.
