James "Gene" Simmons

James “Gene” Simmons, age 64, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023. He was born in Houston, TX, on September 21, 1958, to James Ernest and Peggy Catherwood Simmons.

Left to honor his memory is his son, Corey Simmons and wife, Sarah, of Lumberton, TX; daughter, Brandi Chambers and husband, Francis, of Cape Coral, FL; brother, Donald Allen Simmons of Blue Ridge, TX; sister, Suzanne Seiley and husband, Chad, of Silsbee, TX; grandchildren, Easton Miles, Wyatt Simmons, Gavin Simmons, and Nolan Simmons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bradley Allen Simmons.

The family would like to extend their special thanks to the staff of Harbor Hospice, as well as, friend and caregiver, Martisha Williams, for the care and love they showed to Gene and the family.

Cremation has been entrusted to Lumberton Family Funeral Home. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
