James Phillip Oakley, 55, passed away on March 10th ,2026, in Silsbee, Texas.
Born on July 26, 1970, in Newark, New Jersey, James graduated from Milton Hershey High School and went on to build a career as a dedicated banquet manager. He had a deep love for sports, especially college football, and he was a proud and loyal Penn State fan. James was known for being honest, hardworking, and someone who cared deeply for the people in his life. His friends and family will remember him for his kindness, his loyalty, and the genuine way he showed up for others.
James is survived by his son, Tyler Oakley of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; his aunt, Karen Astrella and her husband Danny Astrella, his aunt, Chris Martin and her husband, John Martin; and his cousins, Nicole, Danielle, Christopher, Johnny, and Ricky.
He was preceded in death by his mother Diane Chapman.
A private service will be held by the family.
