J. R. "Ricky" Martin

James Richard “Ricky” Martin, age 68, of Silsbee, TX, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was born on March 20, 1957, in Orange, TX to James and Dorothy Martin.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Melissa Martin; sons, Kyle Holton and wife, Victoria, and Justin Wilkinson; daughters, Wendi Roark-McIntyre and husband, Harold Clay, Shirley Payne and husband, Charles, Jimmie Martin and wife, Amy Lou, and Valari Terri; sister, Connie Claus; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding James in death are his parents; sister, Nelda Landry; son in law, Mark Roark.

Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Life honoring funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2025, with interment to follow at Franks Branch Cemetery.
