Ivy Dewey Janeaux, “T-Boy”, age 78, of Beaumont, TX, passed away at his home, on Friday, January 5, 2024. He was born on October 6, 1945, in Lake Charles, LA, to his parents, Dewey Janeaux of Eunice, LA and Olivia Adele Jeffers of Egan, LA.
He was a mechanic most of his life. He was always outside tinkering with cars with his son, Randy, and was teaching the 4 great-grandsons automotive cares. He enjoyed coaching his son Randy in the Beaumont Little League and enjoyed the last few years watching the great-grandsons play baseball and football. Ivy never met a stranger; he could fill our ears with endless hours of stories from throughout his lifetime. He was one hellava “Horse Trader”, we never knew what to expect him to come home with. We would like to thank Olive Branch Hospice of Jasper, TX for all their personal and caring time they spent with him, especially his nurse, Becky.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joanne; son, Randy and wife, Carla, of Kountze, TX; grandchildren, Jason Janeaux and Robert of Baton Rouge, LA, Jennifer Mumford and Justin of Kountze, TX, and Jessica Pratt and Curtis of Kountze, TX; and great-grandchildren, Cambrie Pratt of Kountze, TX, Bryce, Brock, Briar, and Brady Mumford of Kountze, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie and Britta; and brother, Bobby.
