Howard Frederick Cobb Sr.

Howard Fredrick Cobb Sr., 100, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Born on April 2, 1926, Howard lived a remarkable century marked by faith, hard work, service to his country, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Howard was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years, Mary Ann Cobb.

He is survived by his loving family, who will forever cherish his memory: his daughters, Carol Ann Alford and Polly Ann Ashworth, both of Beaumont; his son, Howard Fredrick Cobb Jr. and his wife, Kelli, of Fredericksburg; his granddaughters, Amie Pritchett of Katy and Amanda Gardner and her husband, Matthew, of Beaumont; and his great-grandchildren, Alexis Gardner, Isabella Pritchett, and Aubrie Gardner.

Howard proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Seabee during World War II. After returning home, he built a successful career as the owner of Cobb’s Carpet in Beaumont, where he was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and dedication to serving his community. His happiest moments were spent relaxing at Crystal Beach, sitting on a patio with the people he loved, and beating any opponent that dared to go up against him in a game of cards or pool.Howard will be remembered for his ability to make everyone in any room laugh, his generous heart, unwavering commitment to his family, and the example he set through a century of living with honor and purpose. His legacy lives on in the family he loved and the many lives he touched.

The family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support shown during this time as they celebrate a life well lived.
