Henry Darrell Smith

Henry Darrell Smith, age 63, of Beaumont, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023.  He was born on March 24, 1960 to parents William and Nettie Smith in Port Arthur, TX.

Henry graduated from high school and went on to become an RN and the Director of Nursing for Home Health and Hospice Facilities.  He was very proud to do what was right for the patients and staff wherever he worked.  Henry met the love of his life Nan Palmer and married her on October 19, 1991.  He is a loving husband, father and son, a caring friend, and Elder @ Christian Fellowship.  Henry loved teaching the word of God and shared at Lifegroup.  He had many sport teams he enjoyed and was an avid reader.  Henry was also a very talented fisherman and still holds the lake record at Steinhagen Lake.  

Left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 32 years, Nan Smith; his son, Yancy Smith; his mother, Nettie Smith; a sister, Tammy Toups and husband Michael; sisters-in-law, Pam and Allan Adkins, Karen and Ed McCarthy, and Donna and Alex Moses.

Preceded in death by his father, William Smith, and grandparents, Leon and Lorraine Foster, and Hunter and Angelina Smith.
