Glen Elwin King Jr., age 76, of Beaumont, TX, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. He was born on December 14, 1946, in Orlando, FL, to Glen Elwin King Sr. and Dixie Buchanan King.
The music in his heart was a melody of love, determination, and consideration. Glen could make guitar talk and enjoyed writing songs and playing with friends and loved ones. He loved his family, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to his wife, Wanda. He was “Pappy” and she was “Jellybean”. Glen was a proud employee of Autozone, known well by his coworkers and respected for his attitude and work ethic. Though he is passed from this Earth, Glen will be forever missed by those that harmonized with the music of his life.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Wanda Marshall King, of Beaumont, TX; sons, Kyler Wade King of Santa Fe, TX and Gary Todd Comte and wife, Crystal; daughters, Kelly King Hogan and husband, Carl, of La Marque, TX and Reneé Griffin and husband, Paul; brother, Arthur Jack King; sister, Judy Price; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie Griffin, Shelby Gant and husband, Aaron, Baylee Griffin, Landan Bryce Comte and fiancé Shelby Spencer , Tayler Wade King Martinez, Trey Brown, Caleb Martinez, Madison Hogan, Carlie Hogan, Madison Fleener, and Kyler Wade King, II; great-grandson, Stetson James Gant; sister-in-law, Sherryl Wigley and husband, Willie; brother-in-law, Jerry Don Marshall and wife, Karen; sister-in-law Debra Marshall; nephews, J. D., Chase and Lance Marshall; as well as a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.
Preceding Glen in death are his parents, and brother-in-law, Billy David Marshall.
Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Glen’s life honoring funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m., also at the funeral home, officiated by Bro. Nathan Keating. Interment will follow at Carrell Cemetery in Huntington, TX.
