Gerald Wayne Smith, age 84, of Goldthwaite, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. He was born in Joaquin, Tx on September 9, 1938, to John and Margaret Hinson Smith.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Brenda Carter Burgins Smith of Goldthwaite, TX; son, Glenn Wayne Smith and wife, Penny Kay of    Vidor, TX; daughter, Carmen Danna and       husband, Rick of Trinity, TX; step-daughters, Cynthia Conner of Kirbyville, TX, Pamela Kay Valentine and husband, Butch, of Jasper, TX; grandchildren, Justin Pitman, Kelsey Johnson and husband, Alex, Camden Connor and wife, Emily, Bryce Williams and wife, Morgan,    Braxton Williams and Tayler; great-grandchildren, Brianna Malos and husband,   Tyler, Laydon, Maggie, Hudson, Khloe, Liam, Kailyr, Stefan, and Xander; and a host of        extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and the mother of his children, Sandra Elaine Lancon Smith; son, Ronald Vernon Smith;  brothers, Hugh Smith, Curtis Smith, and Ovis Smith; sisters, Jeanette Moore, and Patsy Skiles.
