George Owen Adams

George Owen Adams, age 90, of Vidor, TX passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023. He was born in Overton, Texas, on August 15, 1932, to Phylander “Phyly” Sylvester and Evelyn Faye Owen Adams.

Left to honor his memory is his beloved wife, Marilyn D. Adams of Vidor, TX; son, Stephen Adams and wife, Tammy, of Vidor, TX; daughters, Roxann Soto and husband, Hector, of Kingwood, TX, Debbie K. Palir and husband, John, III, of Lake Charles, LA; grandchildren, John Palir, IV and wife, Katie, Carmen Marie Palir, Kent Michael Palir, and wife, Amber, Aaron Stephen Adams and wife, Camille, Brittany Lynn Brister and husband, Justice, Mark Allen Adams, Kristine Johnson and husband, Jordan, Andrew Soto and wife, Dena, and Chloe Soto; great-grandchildren, Jayden Broussard, Skyler Benglis, Grant Owen Adams, Clark Everett Brister, and Ella Jones; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Peggy M. Adams; sister, Mary Louise Tipton, and brother-in-law, Millard Tipton.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church, with George’s life honoring funeral service to follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be following services at Restlawn Memorial Park.
