Fred Nation Obituary

Fred Nation Jr., age 74, of Lumberton, TX, passed away on July 18, 2020. He was born in Orange, TX on September 27, 1945 to Fred Nation Sr. and Jean Hancock

The true definition of selfless, Fred always put others before himself. Whenever a friend or loved one was in need, he would always be the first to help. His kindness was evident to everyone and strangers that he met would always turn into a friend. The love he had for his family was unsurpassed, and he worked tirelessly to provide a fulfilling life for his wife and children. His time in the navy helped him discover a love for the sea, and he spent 59 years working on tugboats from an entry level to master seaman. Although he was devoted to his work, he still found time to do the things he enjoyed, such as fishing and hunting. A man of many talents, there was little that Fred could not do. His gentle spirit and loving character will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Left to honor his memory is his loving wife, Belinda Annette Weaver Nation; his sons, Brad Nation and wife Tammy, Steve Nation and wife Cathy, Bryon Nation, Adam Nation and wife Megan; his daughters, Dawn Miles, Kristi Kisslack and husband Jay, Trisha Nation; his brother, Randy Hancock; his sister, Sharon Fayhe and husband Michael; 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as many friends and coworkers.

Preceding Fred in death are his parents, Fred Nation Sr. and Jean Hancock.
