Florence Campbell

Florence Elizabeth “Betty Flo” Campbell, age 91, passed away on July 18, 2019. She was born on July 15, 1928 in San Augustine, TX to William Grady Childers and Tera Conn Childers.

“She did it her way”, Florence lived life according to her own rules and wasn’t afraid to admit it. She was a hard worker, she continued holding a career into her late 80’s. She had a love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, when she was able. Digging in the dirt never scared Florence, a trait she passed down to her daughters; her lessons to her girls became an inheritance of strength. She will be missed dearly and her memory will live on, forever.

Left to honor her memory is her daughters, Tera E. Adler of Nederland, TX, Norma Owens and husband, James of Nederland, TX; sister, Lou Yeates of Jasper, TX; grandchildren, Brett Owens and wife, Elaine of Tulsa, OK, Marsha West and husband, David of Fort Worth, TX, Jennifer Reed and husband, Lance of Beaumont, TX, Jason Owens and Timothy Kent of Beaumont, TX; great-grandchildren, Ashley Jacks and Justin Gilley, Erica Workman and husband, Jeff, Devin Owens, Morgan Carter and husband, Jody, Chance Reed, Austin Reed, Hope Reed; great-great-grandchildren, Anna, Hazel, Julia, Sterling; sister-in-laws, Clara Childers of Houston, TX, Faye Childers of Jasper, TX.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Lowell Campbell; parents; brothers, Lamar Childers, William Grady Childers Jr.; son-in-law, Paul Warren Adler; brother-in-law, Eugene Yeates.

Services Honoring the life of Florence Campbell will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Byerly Campground Cemetery with Bro. Warren Wargo officiating.
