Eskar Edward Glover

Eskar Edward Glover, age 80, of Silsbee, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024. He was born in Silsbee, Texas, on June 22, 1944, to George Edward Glover and Willie Haynes.

If there was a place Eskar found peace, it was in prayer. He lived for the Lord, worked hard for and loved his family, and did not know the meaning of idleness. On March 3, 1972, he married his beloved, Laverne, and their love blessed them with three children. If Eskar did not have something to do, he would invent a task. He could make whatever those around him needed, using his talents for his own family’s needs, those of his neighbors, and a great deal of churches through the Texas Mission Builders. When he became a proud grandfather, he made the time to play with his grandchildren, building many things for them as well. Eskar lived well and loved deeply; the abiding strength of his legacy will forever be cherished by his loved ones.

Left to honor his memory is his wife, Laverne Johnston Glover; son, Joey Eskar Glover; daughters, Patricia Glover, Robin Glover and Laura Nelson; sisters, Eloise Glover and Virginia Faye Galloway; grandchildren, Christopher Andrews, Kara Russ, Kayla Russ, Haley Meiners, and Zaylee Nelson; and great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Gracelyn; and a host of extended family, friends and loved ones.

Preceding Eskar in death are his parents; stepfather, Frank Creel; brother, Charles Glover; sisters, Ethel Sirmons and Doris Loftin; and son-in-law, Junior Nelson.
