Elizabeth “Bettie” M. Bibbo, 70, of Port Arthur passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020. Bettie was born in Newton, MA to Nicholas F. Bibbo and Ruth Perry on December 28, 1949. Bettie a deeply religious woman who’s faith was the center of everything she did. Dedicated to her morning routines that included a quiet time and bible study each day, she was willing to add anyone to her prayers. Bettie was a kind soul who would often help everyone around her out, even to her own detriment. No one who knew Bettie was shocked when she offered an opinion on a situation or circumstance, she was well known for speaking her mind and meaning every word she uttered. A typical Boston mom, Bettie could be stern with her only child Chet, but never once did he doubt that she loved him unconditionally. Bettie always made what she had work and was a great provider for her family. She was truly a family woman, loving to focus on holidays and any chance to come together with her loved ones over a good meal. A talented cook, Bettie’s meatballs and Italian food were often coveted and requested for any get-together; she luckily cooked in huge batches and could easily pull from reserves in her freezer when needed. Bettie also enjoyed any day spent at the beach with the sand in her toes or a day spent browsing the aisles at Costco with her son in tow. She was a thoughtful, kind woman and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Butch Adams and wife Nicole of Vidor; her brothers, Nicky Bibbo of Needham, MA, Bobby Bibbo and wife Margie of Millis, MA and Jimmy Bibbo of Newton, MA; her grandchildren, Katelyn McNulty and husband Ian of Providence, RI, Marrisa Scott and husband Kristopher of Liberty, TX, Chad Adams and Shane Adams of Grantsville, MD; her great grandchildren, Kason Scott, Kaizlee Scott, Patrick McNulty and Kohen Scott; her Church on the Rock family, as well as many extended family and friends.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas Bibbo and Ruth Perry and her brother, Norman Bibbo.
