Elizabeth Ann Kemp, 65, of Silsbee, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2024. Born on May 13, 1959, in Conroe, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of Louia Robert and Peggy Shipp Whittaker.
A devoted Christian, Ann lived her life with unwavering faith and a deep sense of purpose. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, known affectionately as "Mamaw." Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense joy in caring for them and staying connected through video chats with her grandchildren. Ann’s light-hearted spirit was a source of joy for those around her; her family often joked about her devotion to her husband, that he didn’t have to worry about a thing and was thoroughly spoiled. Ann was a dedicated homemaker and an integral part of her family. She and her husband, William, shared a deep and abiding love that was evident in all they did together. Her love for her children and grandchildren was boundless, and her presence will be profoundly missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, William Leon Kemp; son, James William Kemp; daughter, Kimberly Dianne Kemp Pesnell and husband, Joshua Ray Pesnell; 6 siblings; grandchildren, Hali Brianna Pesnell McMillon and husband Ethan Spencer McMillon, Jaymie Nicole Kemp, Tyler James Kemp, and John Raylynn Kemp; great-grandchildren, Noah Blake McMillon and Willow Elizabeth Saige McMillon; and best friends, Mary Pardon and Vanita Moody.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sammy Whittaker; and grandson, Tyler Lee Pesnell.
