Donald Gilbert Woods

Donald Gilbert Woods, age 87, of Vidor, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2023. He was born in San Augustine, TX, on August 17, 1935, to Edgar Wayne Woods Sr. and Ivy Rogers Woods.

Left to honor his memory is his beloved wife, Jackie Hossley Woods of Vidor, TX; daughter, Susie Woodham and husband, Jim; brothers, Edgar Wayne “Bubba” Woods, Dewey Thomas “Tommy” Woods and wife, Patricia; grandsons, Ryan Woodham, Christopher Gibson, Jeremy Woods, Toby Woods, Mark Bradley, and Joe Brandon; 3 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding Donald in death are his parents; first wife, Annie Mae Woods; son Royce Mark Holden Woods; sisters, Bobbie Nash Woods and Nancy Lou Woods; and sister-in-law, Mary Woods, and his beloved cocker spaniel, “Bart” 

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, July 28, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Vidor, 350 N Main St. Vidor, TX 77662. Donald’s life honoring funeral service will follow, beginning at 12:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church, with Bro. Terry Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
