Donald Crisman Obituary

Donald Wayne Crisman, 57, of Vidor passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020. Born on November 12, 1962 in Beaumont to Kenneth Eugene Crisman and Patricia Ann Robertson, Donald grew up in Port Lavaca. If there was ever an accurate description of Donald, it would be funny and humorous. Donald loved to laugh and loved to make others laugh; be it with a joke, comment, or mannerism, all that mattered to him was to cause joy in others and be surrounded by it himself when possible. An avid golfer in his younger days, Donald’s hobbies grew in number and variation as he got more life under his belt; from fishing for his beloved bass, to earning his certification as a scuba diver and even photography, Donald loved to live life. Donald’s children grew up in a home where laughter was a constant and their dad could be depended on whenever needed; as children turned to grandchildren Donald adopted the title “OG” because Pops never really suited him! Much like his love of life and laughter could be categorized as loud and ambitious- Donald’s love of classic rock was a loud and ambitious soundtrack to his rambunctious and sometimes comical life. In passing Donald you probably never saw him without a “sodie” in his hand, and the stories of acrobatic feats achieved to maintain his footing and his “sodie” or cigarette could leave your rolling in your chair with laughter. This caring, kind and fun-loving man who brought smiles and laughter to so many will truly be missed and well remembered.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Courtney Irvin and her husband Matthew, Kenneth Crisman, and Justin Crisman; his grandchildren Hadley Irvin, and Evan Ford; his siblings, Laura Beaumont, Irvin Crisman and wife Debra Crisman; as well as 2 nephews and 4 nieces.

Preceding him in death are his parents Kenneth Crisman and Patricia Robertson; his step father, Berry Robertson; his son Phillip Crisman; his brother Robert Crisman.
