Dennis Bogue Obituary

Dennis Calvin Bogue, age 70, of Lumberton, TX, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025. He was born in Beaumont, TX, on February 28, 1955, to Charles Austin Bogue and Patricia Mae Breaux.

A gentle soul and free spirit that was born into the era of change, Dennis was truly a child of the 1960s. He carried with him the ideals of freedom and individuality that defined that generation. Though he would have loved to attend Woodstock, his devotion to his mother kept him home, an act that reflected both his adventurous spirit and his tender heart. Dennis found joy in the open road, embracing motorcycles not only for their style but also for their practicality. He was a man who valued simplicity, yet his passions were rich and deep. Animals held a special place in his heart, and he cared deeply for their wellbeing, always showing compassion to creatures great and small. With skilled hands and a sharp mind, Dennis built a career as a machinist. He loved the music of his youth, the soaring riffs of Led Zeppelin, the raw energy of Steppenwolf, and the artistry of Jethro Tull. Dennis will be remembered as soft and kind, a man who lived authentically and freely. His legacy is one of love, for his family, for the animals he protected, and for the ideals of freedom that shaped his journey. He leaves behind friends and loved ones who will miss him.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Vickie Heffernan, and a host of friends and loved ones.

Dennis's life honoring graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze, TX.
