Denise Mott Obituary

Denise Fazio Mott, age 69, of Beaumont, TX, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. She was born on December 1, 1955, in Beaumont, TX to Victor and Julia McLeaish Fazio.

Hers was a life filled with love, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to those she cherished. Sweet-natured and deeply supportive, she made it her mission to show up at events, in conversations, and activities, to stand by the people she loved. Her friendships meant the world to her. Whether lifelong or fleeting, she held onto the bonds she formed, carrying them in her heart with warmth and appreciation. Denise always sought to give love, to be accepted for who she was, and to bring others into her embrace. Her motherly nature extended far beyond her own family, making her a second mom to many who were blessed to know her. She had a joyful spirit, punctuated by her love for silly jokes and heartfelt laughter. A devoted sports fan, her passion ran deep, but only if the team hailed from Houston. Time with her grandchildren was precious, and simple pleasures, like watching television, brought her peace. Denise wasn’t one for flash or extravagance. She found comfort in routine, dedicating each day to a specific meal, cuisine, or restaurant, a reflection of her thoughtful approach to life. Those who knew her will remember her unwavering support, her ability to make others feel valued, and the love she poured into every relationship. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the impact of her kindness, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to call her family, friend, and mother. She is lovingly remembered and will be forever cherished.

Left to honor her memory is her son, Danny Dwight Mott Jr.; daughter, Julie Marie Shook and husband, Lyndon; sister, Chris Fazio Huff and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Nathan Mott, Isabelle Shook, and Noah Mott; cousin and caretaker, Diane Casteel; nephews, Sam Huff and wife, Sarah, and Tyler Huff; as well as numerous other cousins, extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding Denise in death are her parents.
