Debra Diane (Starke) Flores

Debra Diane Starke Flores passed away March 1, 2021. She was born in Kountze, TX on June 14, 1960 to Douglas Ray Starke and Thelma Clowers.

Diane Flores was the epitome of a selfless caregiver. She was always drawn to help others in need and had a natural compassion that is most prevalent in a mother. It is said that dogs are often the best judge of a person’s character, which is undoubtedly the reason that animals loved Diane as much as she loved them, especially Jo-Jo and Molly. Although she was always the responsible one, Diane still knew how to have a good time. Weather she was just going to Whataburger, or taking a trip to Delta Downs, it was always a party. She had a heart of gold and her radiance was always eminated through her passion for bright things, especially if they were purple. Diane was talented in her shopping, she could never leave a store without finding something she just had to have. She was married to the love of her life, Juan, for 16 years and her family was truly the pride of her life. Diane was loved by many, and she will live on in the hearts those she cherished for years to come.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Juan Jessie Flores; her son Douglas Gore Sr. and wife Ashley Nicole; her daughters Terry Hartley, Crystal Gore, Donna Lynch and husband Dustin; her siblings John Starke, Floyd Starke and wife Kim, Rhonda Freeman and husband Wayne and Frances Sims; her grandchildren Nicole Hartley, Christopher Hartley, Tara Porter, Summer Gore, Karlee Gore, Blaydon Gore, Brendon Gore, Douglas Gore Jr., Daisy Gore, George Gore, Austin Lynch and Noah Lynch; her great-grandchildren Andrew, Ava, Emma and Serenity; her many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends and loved ones.

Preceding her in death are her parents Douglas Ray Starke and Thelma Clowers, and her brother David Starke.

A time of Visitation will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 12:00PM-1:00PM at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S Main St Lumberton, TX 77657 with the Funeral service to follow at 1:00PM. The burial will take place following the Funeral service at Fred Community Cemetery in Fred, TX.
