Darlene Bales, 68, died at her home in Orange, Texas on October 19, 2021. She was born in Beaumont, Texas on August 17, 1953 to J.P. and Earline Hart LeBlanc. She graduated from Lamar University with a nursing degree and worked in the medical profession for many years. Darlene dedicated her life to her career, working hard and never forgetting that helping people was the most important task. A strong and resilient mother, Darlene also knew the value of family. Darlene's impact on her family, friends, patients, and community will never be forgotten. Her sense of humor and funny antics will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Joe Ferguson of Orange, Chad Ferguson and wife Megan of Beaumont, and Awna Bales Jackson; her 5 grandchildren, Mason Spivey, Joseph Ytuarte, Jacob Lemoine, Jayden Ferguson, and McKinley Ferguson; her 2 sisters, Paula Williamson of Houston and Madeline Gill of Joaquin; her niece, Karyn Langford of League City; her nephew, Jason Gill, and many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, and her youngest son, Max Lemoine.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
