Danny R. Glenn Sr.

Mr. Danny Ray Glenn Sr., 71, of Vidor, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Danny was born in Wichita Falls on December 15, 1949, to Raymond Edward Glenn and Noami Lois Davis.

Danny was a simple, loving man. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies when they came along, and was always ready to play a good prank. Danny loved history, genealogy research, and even had a license to as an amateur ham radio operator; he loved to rebuild antennas for his radios and really could do just about anything he put his mind to. Whenever he could steal away, you’d find Danny at local trade days or out to eat at a favorite restaurant. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Danny was truly a kind and generous family man. A good provider, Danny worked more than 34 years as an Operator before his retirement with ExxonMobil. He loved to fish and was a wonderful father and Paw-Paw. Danny will certainly be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his girlfriend, Judy Korman of Vidor; his children, Theresa Ann Glenn of Lufkin, Danny R. Glenn Jr. of Vidor and girlfriend Connie Jean Robinson of Sour Lake; his grandchildren, Bryan Welch, Kayla Kessinger and husband Will; his great-grandchildren, Jynika, Beaux, and Easton; and his siblings, Alan Glenn, and Terry Glenn.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Elaine Abernathy Glenn.

Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Campbell, Will Kesinger, Bryan Welch, Josh Roark, Terry Glenn, Kevin Abernathy, Franky Abernathy, and Buddy Abernathy.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the life honoring funeral service to follow beginning at 1:00 p.m all at the Church of the Nazarene, 370 N Dewitt Rd. Vidor, TX 77662. Interment will follow the funeral service at Restlawn Memorial Park.
