Dana Guillory MSN, APRN, FNP-C Obituary

Monday, December 13, 2021. Dana was born on Sunday, February 16, 1964, in Crowley, LA to her parents, Bobby Hoffpauir and Vivian Faulk Hoffpauir. Dana grew up loving to help others. It was no surprise to those that knew her when Dana went into the medical field as a registered nurse. Dana excelled at taking care of her patients and truly loved her work, returning to school for first her master’s degree in nursing and then obtaining her Nurse Practitioner certifications. Ever devoted to her patients, Dana pushed through the difficulties and risks of these last few uncertain years always going above and beyond to do what she could for all who came into her care. It was from doing what she loved that the world would eventually lose Dana.

Dana was blessed in her life to have a beautiful and supportive family with her husband of more than 16 years, Tony, and her son and his family, Kyle. Tony and Dana met in 2001 when and it became evident to all who saw the two together that they had found their soulmates in each other. After marrying in 2005, the couple began to enjoy their lives together. Spending as much of their free time pursuing things that they loved, trips to their home away from home- Black Pearl Ranch in Llano, TX and hunting deer and hogs quickly became the couple’s favorite getaways. Dana was not only a wonderful partner to Tony, but to quote Kyle “a complete rockstar of a mom”. She was constantly supportive of her son and even willing to “adopt” many of his friends over the years as her home was always a place where you felt welcome. When Kyle married his beautiful wife Rebecca, Dana was blessed to gain not only a daughter but eventually one of the best titles ever in becoming “Mawmaw” to their son Landon. Truly the matriarch and glue in her family, Dana will be deeply missed by all who loved her and her sacrifice for the patients she cared for so well will not soon be forgotten.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother Vivian Faulk Hoffpauir; her husband, Tony Guillory; her son, Kyle Hanks and wife Rebecca; her sister Darlene Hoffpauir; and her grandson Landon Hanks; as well as extended family members, many good friends, her work family, and the hundreds of patients that have been helped by her hands over the years of her career.

To honor Dana’s life, a time of visitation will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lumberton Family Funeral Home (766 S. Main St., Lumberton, TX 77657).
