D’Juana L. Rayon, age 59, of Beaumont, TX, passed from this life on November 3, 2022, opening her eyes to behold her Heavenly home and being welcomed by loving arms. She was born in Groves, TX on April 27, 1963, to Creighton C. Sr. and Shirley Lynn Rayon.
A giver, a gentle soul, her heart was filled with thanksgiving for the love that surrounded her, the family that God gifted to her, and the moments and modest ways that allowed her to express the love she held within. D’Juana’s life was truly a blessing to others, for as much as she knew she was protected and cherished by family and dear friends, she gave back in kind, never parting without a big hug and to say, “Hi and I love you!”. She rested on her family, and there was nothing that she enjoyed more than to spend time with family. Christmas, birthdays, and any special day was a huge deal to D’Juana, because it was her opportunity to do something special for those she cared about. Many of her weekends were spent at the home of her dear sister, Cheryl, visiting and continuing to foster their special bond of sisterhood. Her devotion to her family, was closely followed by a few other passions: a love of all things sweet, preferably found among the candy isle at any store; drinking coffee day or night, D’Juana had no qualms about her coffee; and Elvis and all things Elvis. Her memory was like a steel trap, remembering details often forgotten by others; her mind was the family’s memory bank. She was loved; and for those that reciprocated that love, D’Juana will always be remembered and her memory cherished, until the day appointed that they see her again and are greeted with a heartfelt hug and a “Hi and I love you!”
Left to honor her memory is her father; treasured sister and guardian, Cheryl Lynn Rayon Mansfield and husband, Rodney; brothers, Creig Rayon and wife, Kristy, Robert Rayon and wife, Kristi, and Lance Rayon and wife, Samantha Rayon; 9 nieces; 6 nephews; 10 grandnieces; 12 grandnephews; 1 great grandniece; 1 great grandnephew; honorary sister, Brittany Rosemond; 2 honorary nephews; 1 honorary niece; 3 uncles, Bruce, Ronnie, and Tommy; 3 aunts, Judy, Jane, and Marilyn; 5 cousins; and a host of extended family and dearly loved ones.
Preceding D’Juana in death is her beloved mother, Shirley Rayon; grandnephew, Lance Britton Butts; and grandniece, Chelbi DuBose.
Visitation with family and friends will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S. Main St., Lumberton, TX.
