Cynthia Joanne Galvan, known to all as “Cindy”, age 68, of Lumberton, TX, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday, September 23, 2024. She was born on April 19, 1956, in West Point, NY to George and Lois Mary Becker Phillips.
Left to honor her memory are her sons, Timothy John “Tim” Stillman and wife, Jennifer, of Lumberton, TX, Toby Hernandez Jr. and wife, Donna, of Sealy, TX, and Marcus Galvan and wife, Maritsa, of Ocala, FL; daughters, Jessica Garling and husband, Shawn, of Hornell, NY, Patricia “Patti” Easley and husband, Jonathan, of Lumberton, TX, Angelina “Angie” Conklin and husband, Christopher, of Lumberton, TX, and Krystal Michele Crowe and husband, Casey, of Crystal River, FL; brother, Fred Phillips and wife, Sharon; sisters, Norma Mecca and husband, Pete, and Brenda Barnes and husband, Jim; 20 grandchildren and a bonus grandson from Germany; 7 great-grandchildren; and a horde of extended family members, friends, and loved ones.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Toribio “Toby” Galvan.
Visitation with family and friends will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Journey Community Church, 1534 Highway 96 S, Lumberton, TX. Cindy’s life honoring memorial service will follow, beginning at 6:00 p.m., with Pastor David Fisher officiating.
