Claudine (Watts) Droddy

Mrs. Claudine W. Droddy, 81, of Kountze, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021. Born on May 4, 1940, in Silsbee, TX to Charlie Hubert Watts and Lulu Mae Watts, Claudine was a true southerner her entire life. Claudine was a homemaker and mother who was truly a loving person. She met the love of her life, Troy Douglas Droddy, while roller skating and the two built a beautiful life together until his passing in 1987.  Claudine and Troy had three children- Troy, Rena, and Charlie. Claudine loved the grandbabies that she had and cherished her title as “Granny”. When Claudine wasn’t taking care of her home or grandbabies, she was most likely shopping because she truly loved to find a bargain. Those who knew Claudine truly loved her kind spirit and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish Claudine’s memory are her children: Troy Droddy and wife Michele, Rena Droddy and partner David Hoyt, Charlie Droddy and wife Amanda; her brother, Hubert Benton Watts; her niece, Lynda Watts; her precious grandbabies: Brandy Droddy, Morgan Dockens and husband Nick, Lacy Koeppe and wife Rachel, and Janci Droddy; and of course, her 5 great-grand babies; as well as numerous friends over the years.

Claudine is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Troy Douglas Droddy; and her parents: Charlie Hubert Watts and Lulu Mae Watts.

To honor Claudine's life a brief time of visitation will be held from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Lumberton Family Funeral Home (766 S. Main St., Lumberton, TX 77657). Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Lumberton Family Funeral Home (766 S. Main St., Lumberton, TX 77657). Mrs. Droddy will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee, TX at a private ceremony.
