Charles Ray Williams, age 81, of Lumberton, TX, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023. He was born on October 11, 1942, in Port Arthur, TX, to George and Gussie Williams.
Charles was a heavy equipment operator and supervisor for Mason Construction for over 36 years. He loved to run heavy equipment and with one hand could outperform anyone. Charles would take the family out boating, water skiing, and jet skiing when they were all younger. The Holidays and Easter were his favorite times to be with his family. He loved his family and spending time with them was his greatest joy in life.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 63 years, Carol Williams of Lumberton; son, Charles Jr. and wife, Debra of Mauriceville; daughters, Gwen Grillo and husband, Darrol, and Wendi Brisendine of Lumberton; grandchildren, Chase Williams and wife, Courtney, Amber Alford and husband, Cody, Matthew Brisendine and wife, Katherine, Aaron Grillo and wife, Sarah, Devon Deckard and husband, Fritz, Hunter Grillo, and Darah Miller and husband, Matthew; great-grandchildren, Preston and Izzy Williams, Bailey, Brenley, Bryden, Brooks, and Briggs Alford, Jack and Charlie Brisendine. Michael and Claire Grillo, Fritz III, Jett, and Raven Deckard, and Killian and Addilyn Fontenot; as well as many friends and loved ones.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents.
