Charlene Ann Rasberry, age 71, of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023. She was born in Lafayette, LA, on October 15, 1951, to Elfort Joseph and Pearl Savoie Sebastien.
“Something good is going to happen today”, a reminder she imparted daily, was a mark of Charlene’s positive and encouraging nature. Her style reflected that same mindset, for she was glamourous and enjoyed dressing with elegance and style. Her faith guided her footsteps, and she kept the scriptures close to her heart. She was devout, a sincere Catholic, and used her knowledge to instruct others as often as she was able. Her loving and devoted husband, Raymond, was always at her side. They were inseparable and joined at the hip, spending time at the lake together or heading out to Delta Downs to enjoy time at the casino together, until his passing. Though she is passed from this life, she is now reunited with her beloved Raymond in her everlasting home.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Evette Fontana of Plano, TX and Nadine Rasberry of Lumberton, TX; sister, Brenda Goodman and husband, Ronnie; grandchildren, Maegan Barnett and husband, Cody, Austin Rasberry and wife, Cara Jones, Jude Rasberry, Noel Rath and husband Spencer, Ashlynn Wood, and Lily Wood; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Dahlia, Tanner, Eleanor, Peyton, Kyler, Rowan, and Kevin; as well as a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.
Charlene was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Raymond Rasberry Jr.; her parents; and son, Clinton Ray “Clint” Rasberry.
Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Charlene’s life honoring funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, Sunday, July 16, 2023, with Deacon Ricky Pampolina officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville, TX.
