Mrs. Deborah “Chandra” Mary Martha Miracle Edwards, 40, of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022.
Chandra was born in Madisonville, Kentucky on July 3, 1981 to Lenda Wade and Delbert Miracle. Early in her life she moved to the southwest where she grew up with her mother and sister. She graduated from San Pasqual High School in Winterhaven, CA, where she was beloved by all and loved athletics, particularly softball and volleyball. Soon after high school, Chandra met Chris Edwards in Yuma, Arizona and married on October 7, 2004 in Hamilton, Ohio. Chandra later attended Northern Kentucky University where she studied Elementary Education, but her passion and innate talent was cooking. Her skill for flavor led her to launch Sweet Miracles Cupcakes in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Above all her accomplishments, it was her role as mother that was greatest. Bailey is the emanation of her mother. Landon is the miracle that fulfilled her family vision. Chandra poured her heart and soul into serving her children. She always found a way of moving her family forward in all aspects of life. In a word, Chandra was resilient.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and truly appreciated her friends and coworkers.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Chris Edwards, her children, Bailey and Landon, her sister, Shakira Miracle, and her mother, Lenda Wade.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 10:00am to 11:30am at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
