Catina Marie Venable

Catina Marie Venable, 52, was born on August 17, 1973, in Beaumont, Texas, and passed away surrounded by the love of her family on July 1, 2026. She was a lifelong resident of Vidor, Texas, where she graduated from Vidor High School with the Class of 1991.

Catina devoted many years of her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, working at several nursing facilities throughout the Vidor area. She had a heart full of compassion and found great joy in helping those in need.

She loved cooking and treasured every opportunity to spend time with her family. She also loved going to the beach with family and friends, especially making breakfast early in the morning for those she loved. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday, and she was known for staying up all night preparing a feast for the people she loved. Her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, kind heart, and bubbly personality will be deeply missed by all who knew her. People describe her as being the funniest person in room never failing to say something outlandish or offensive. She never failed to make people smile even in their worst moments.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Justin Douget of Dubach, Louisiana, and Jessica Douget of Vidor, Texas; her brothers, Dewayne Venable and his wife, Jennie, of Fred, Texas, and David Venable of Vidor, Texas; her sisters, Melissa Barrow and her husband, Jeremy, of Vidor, Texas, and Debra Venable of Mauriceville, Texas; along with her nieces and nephews, Cody Smith and his wife, Dominique, of Vidor, Texas; Matthew Smith and his wife, Lindsey, of Vidor, Texas; Austin Venable and Hannah Venable of North Carolina; Blake Venable and his wife, Aurora, of Fred, Texas; and Layney Venable of Lumberton, Texas. She also leaves behind her beloved great-nephews, Colby, Maverick, Cooper, Brayden, and Hendrix.

Catina was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Barbara Venable.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Catina’s life during visitation on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 South Main Street, Lumberton, Texas.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories Catina gave us and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and devotion to her family will live on forever.
