Bryan Thomas Domingue

Bryan Thomas Domingue, beloved husband of Michelle Renae Curry for 33 years, devoted father, proud Papaw, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 67.

Born on April 2, 1959, Bryan was affectionately known as “Binky” as a little boy-a nickname earned because he held onto his pacifier a little longer than most. Many years later, he would be given another name that meant even more to him: Papaw.

Bryan spent his career in industrial electrical sales, but anyone who worked with him knew that describing him simply as a salesman didn’t begin to explain what he could do. He was commonly known as “The Brain” because of his remarkable knowledge of all things electrical. It wasn’t unusual for the telephone at home to ring in the middle of the night because a chemical plant was experiencing a problem. Bryan could sit at home and walk crews through complicated electrical issues over the phone, telling them how to wire something, troubleshoot a problem, or get a plant running again. If it involved electricity, chances were, Bryan knew how it worked-and how to fix it.

As brilliant as Bryan was in his career, the role that mattered most was being a father. He loved his children deeply, was immensely proud of them, and never missed an opportunity to pick on them, play with them, or make them laugh. More importantly, Bryan showed up. He was there for the football games, basketball games, volleyball games, gymnastics meets, cheerleading events, drill team performances, and countless other activities. He was equally involved in his children’s education and their accomplishments away from the playing field. Whatever his children were doing, Bryan wanted to be there. They never had to wonder whether their dad was proud of them. He made sure they knew.

Bryan and Michelle shared 33 years of a marriage that was never boring. They could fight like cats and dogs, and when they fought, they fought hard. The good times were very good, and the bad times were sometimes very bad- but through the years, Bryan took care of Michelle, spoiled her in his own way, and worked hard to make sure his family had what they needed. Their life together was something that he was very proud of.

That family also included more than a few four-legged members, despite Bryan’s insistence that he was not a fan of pets in the house. Michelle and the kids apparently considered that opinion negotiable. No matter how many times Bryan may have said he didn’t want another animal, he somehow ended up helping take care of every pet they brought through the door. Once they were part of his family, he took care of them, too.

Bryan was the proud Papaw of eleven grandchildren, Arielle, Everleigh, Brielyn, Lennox, Harper, Quinn, Blake, Marlee, Indie, Lincoln, and Willow. Being their Papaw became another treasured chapter of his life.

Bryan is survived by his wife of 33 years, Michelle Renae Curry; his children, Logan Chene Domingue, Katelyn Naomi Williams, Hannah Colleen Holt, and Nicholas Christopher Domingue; his sons-in-law, Nolan Williams and Dave Holt; and his daughter-in-law, Alyse Domingue.

He is also survived by his mother, Jeanette Domingue; his siblings, Kirk Domingue and wife, Rhonda, Darrin Domingue and wife, Shelo, Myra Domingue, and Lisa Miller and husband, Pat; his eleven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bryan was preceded in death by his father, Jack Domingue; who passed away in July 2025; and his youngest son, Jack Thomas Domingue, who passed away on June 22, 2026.

The final four years of Bryan’s life required a strength few people will ever fully understand. He endured twelve strokes, and with each one, his family watched as another piece of the man they knew and loved was taken from him. Still, Bryan continued on. He fought hard. Again and again, he got back up and kept going. He fought the good fight until there was simply no fight left to give.

On August 22, 2026, Bryan was not alone. His wife, Michelle, and his daughter, Katelyn were at his bedside when he took his final breath. After a lifetime spent showing up for his family, his family was there to show up for him.

And although those who loved Bryan are left grieving an enormous loss, there is comfort in believing that his journey ended with a reunion. Just two months after losing his youngest son, Jack, Bryan went to join him. Father and son, together again.

The people who loved Bryan will remember “Binky”, “The Brain”, Dad, husband, brother, and Papaw. They will remember his intelligence, his stubbornness, his humor, they way he provided for his family, and above all, the way he showed up for the people he loved. And that is how Bryan Thomas Domingue will be remembered:

He showed up. He took care of his family. He fought hard. And he loved them until the very end.
