Bruce Alan Anthony

Bruce Alan Anthony, 51, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at his home.

Born in Kirbyville, Texas, on December 20, 1972, he was the son of Kathryn Anthony. He leaves behind a legacy marked by his profound love for family, passion for the outdoors, and a compassionate spirit that touched the lives of many. Bruce was a man of great patience and kindness, qualities that endeared him to everyone met. His commitment to his family was unwavering; he cherished every moment spent with them. Bruce was well-known for his humor, bringing laughter and joy to gatherings, and was particularly good with babies, always making them smile with his gentle nature. A devoted car and truck enthusiast, Bruce proudly identified as a Ford guy. His love for vehicles was matched only by his passion for fishing and exploring the great outdoors. Those who knew him will fondly remember his adventurous spirit and appreciation for nature's beauty. Bruce embraced patriotism wholeheartedly, demonstrating deep respect for his country and the values it stands for. His big heart and dedication to those around him left a lasting impression on friends and family alike.

Left to honor Bruce’s memory is his mother, Kathryn Anthony; children, Aden Anthony, Ashley Elmer and husband, Jeremy, Mark Baxter and wife, Seany, and Russell Baxter and fiancée, Jennifer; grandchildren, Brayson Cassel, Baylen Duke, Brody Baxter, Bruce Baxter, Blaise Baxter, Brazos Baxter, Braddox Baxter and Brantley Baxter; siblings, Ileeta Keith and husband, Kirk, Amanda Ayers and husband, Wesley; his furry companions, Elwood and Socket; and many other loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lorenzo Vinzent Marie, Jr. and Ethel Marie; uncles, Travis Marie and Sterling Marie; and beloved pets, Gizmo and Rascal.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Baxter, Aden Anthony, Kameron Keith, Russell Baxter, and Olen Marie

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, November 15, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Faith Assembly of God, 390 S Archie St. Vidor, Texas 77662. Bruce’s life honoring funeral service will be Saturday, November 16, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Faith Assembly of God, 390 S Archie St. Vidor, Texas 77662, officiated by Rev. Kameron Keith and Re. Thomas Hammond Jr. Interment will follow at Marie Cemetery in Jasper County, Texas.
