Brenda Joyce (Sides) Callaway

Mrs. Brenda Joyce (Sides) Callaway, 69, of Vidor, went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 23, 2022. Brenda was born the only daughter and one of three children to Mr. John Edwin Sides and Mrs. Alice Anita (Burrell) Sides on Tuesday, July 22, 1952, in Beaumont, Texas.

Brenda was a driven and accomplished business owner, spending more than 45 years working with White Reprographics (formerly White Blueprint) where she developed her skill and experience for nearly 25 years before taking over as owner for the next 20 years before her retirement. Some of Brenda’s free time was spent indulging in her love of shopping, or just singing as she was known to do. Truly beautiful, both inside and out, Brenda was a bright light in the world that brought joy, laughter, support, and friendship to those she met and knew; she will be deeply missed, and the world is a little darker today for the loss of her light.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of more than 50 years, Michael Wayne Callaway of Vidor; her brothers: Michael Edwin Sides and wife Rhonda of San Antonio, and John David Sides and wife Angel of Katy; her nieces and nephews: Jason Sides and wife Katy, Alysa Sides, and Brendan Sides; as well as numerous extended family members, loved ones, and friends through the many years.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, John Edwin Sides and Alice Anita (Burrell) Sides.

To honor Brenda’s life, a time of visitation will be held on Monday, May 30, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Turning Point Church (3600 N Main St, Vidor, TX 77662). Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Turning Point Church (3600 N Main St, Vidor, TX 77662). Brenda will be laid to rest following the funeral services on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, Texas.
