Brenda Marie Beard

Brenda Marie Beard, age 74, of Vidor, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023. She was born August 23, 1949, in Crowley, LA to James and Orelia LeJeune Spell.

Brenda was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. For the most part, Brenda was a homemaker. She took care of her husband and her children until the kids were grown and had their own lives. She went on to hold down several jobs including Wal-Mart, Market Basket, and becoming manager at Burke’s. In her younger years, she enjoyed twirling at West Orange High School. Later, she sang in the choir at Pine Forest Baptist Church. She and her mother enjoyed doing crafts together, such as crochet and plastic canvas cross stitch. The two of them were very active in the VFW and the DAV. Her husband was an active member of the Vidor Masonic Lodge and Brenda was an Eastern Star. She was much loved and will be missed by her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jimmy Wardell Beard of Vidor, TX, Tammy Sue Freeman and husband, Tim, of Vidor, TX, Billy Cordell Beard and wife, Amy, of LaFayette, LA, and Melissa Kay Casey of Vidor, TX; grandchildren, Chelsea Beard, Jamie Beard, Allie Wyatt, Tony J. Wyatt, Taylor Beard, James Beard, Alex Beard, Ashton Beard, Cruz Beard, Logan Boudreaux and Taylor Hodge; 8 great-grandchildren; as well as many family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding Brenda in death is her husband, Lloyd Joseph Beard Jr., and her parents.

Cremation has been entrusted to Lumberton Family Funeral Home. If you would like to pay your respects, the family invites you to stop by their house to do so.
