Bernice Edward Simmons Jr.

Mr. Bernice Edward "Eddie" Simmons Jr., 63, passed away on April 16, 2020 at his home in Livingston, TX.

Eddie was born on June 18, 1965 to Bernice Simmons Sr. and Nola Jane Simmons in Kountze, TX. He spent his life working as a carpenter in woodworking. Eddie loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and he was also passionate about restoring antiques he would find at various flea markets. Eddie was a man well loved, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Bernice Edward Simmons III; his brothers, Jimmy Simmons and wife Cindy, Tony Simmons and wife Nadine; his sister, Nola Ann Johnson and husband Buddy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Bernice Edward Simmons Sr. and Nola Jane Simmons; and his brother Billy Simmons.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Lumberton Family Funeral Home. A life honoring memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S. Main St. Lumberton, TX 77657.
