Edna Beatrice “Gizzy” Goad Whitmore, 85, passed away at her home in Kountze on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Rich Farris Goad; her grandchildren, Johnny Cox, Shannon Dowden and Anna Dowden, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Gizzy was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Dovie Goad; her husband, John Charles Whitmore; her daughter, Sharron Nanette Dowden, and her siblings, Levi Goad, Roland Goad, Miles Goad, Alfred Goad, Bernice Goad Dowden and Joe Goad.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Memorial services are pending.
