Austin Wayne Walker

Austin Wayne Walker, 24, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021. One of four children, Austin was born May 29, 1996 in Beaumont, Texas to his parents, E.J. Walker and Melissa Ann Marshall Walker. Austin grew up a local here in Texas and was without a doubt 100% cowboy, graduating from Lumberton High School where he played in the band and on the football team. Not surprisingly, this gentle giant was irresistible in his own way with his heart of gold and charismatic personality. Austin really never met a stranger and was always willing to take up the fight for a good cause; a wheeler and dealer from a young age, his gift of gab and swapping kept him constantly making deals and trades that left others sometimes wondering how he had just sold them the shoes they already had on! Be it fishing or mudding, this country fella loved to enjoy the outdoors and fun times spent with his family or friends. The same traits that made Austin a magnet for people and admiration from friends and associates also contributed to his wonderful demeanor as a dad and family man. Austin truly loved his children above all else and made the most of every moment he could spend with his family and children. Austin’s appreciation and devotion to family extended beyond his blood family to his friends and biker family as well. Loving to ride his bike for any good cause, Austin was known in his community for his passionate support of local fundraisers and causes. Sometimes in life, we are lucky enough to meet people who exhibit the characteristic of a genuine and loving person- Austin was certainly a shining example of that; taken too soon from us, Austin life and legacy will not soon be forgotten.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, EJ Walker and Melissa Walker of Lumberton; his siblings, James Walker of Vidor, Anthony Walker and wife Hilary of Bridge City, Cassie Marshall of Lumberton, and Joshua Marshall of Lumberton; his children, Braxtin Lee Hampshire-Walker of Lumberton, Brantley Wayne Walker and Braylee Michelle Walker of Lumberton; as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, and his biker family.

Visitation services will be on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Grace Church, North 1130 Hwy 69 Kountze, TX 77625 with a funeral service to follow at 1:00PM. Burial will follow the funeral service at Old Hardin Cemetery, Old Cemetery Rd Kountze, TX 77625.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to help with the cost of Austin's final expenses and assist with the care of his beloved children.
