Anthony "Tony" Colvin Obituary

Anthony Lee Colvin, age 62, of Orange, TX, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was born on June 14, 1963, in Danville, IN.

He lived his life with a generosity that seemed to flow straight from his heart. A giving man, physically and mentally, he offered strength, humor, and faithfulness to those he loved. He could make anyone laugh, often without trying, and though he carried a rough edge at times, he was always a true gentleman. Tony met the love of his life, Wanda, through mutual friends. What began as a friendship quickly grew into something deeper. They became inseparable, best friends first, until the day Tony looked at her and asked, “What do you think? Will you marry me?” Wanda said yes without hesitation. On February 8, 1985, they began a marriage built on devotion and love. Supportive and reliable, Tony put others first, and he wouldn’t have had it any other way. He loved the Lord deeply and was a praying man, finding his greatest peace in the woods. A true sportsman, Tony hunted with passion, collecting trophies and a great many trophies. He loved fishing just as much and often shared those times on the water with friends and family. And if there was a good meal to be had, Tony was always ready to enjoy it. Hardworking, honest, and profoundly unselfish, Tony lived a life defined not by what he had, but by what he gave. His presence filled a room, his laughter lifted spirits, and his loyalty anchored the people that he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of friendship and the kind of love that endures. Tony will be deeply missed and the love he shared will live on in all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Wanda Sue Colvin; brothers, Joe Colvin and wife, Sandra of Morrisville, IN, and Jerry Colvin of Orange, TX; numerous nieces and nephews both in Indiana and Texas; his bitch, Paula; adopted furry daughter, Rosie; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding Tony in death is his father, Cecil Colvin and step-mother, Mary E.; and mother, Mary Ann Allen and step-father, Morris.
