Thomas Ed Roth

Thomas Ed Roth, 70, of Kountze, passed away Friday May 5, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 24, 1947 in Kountze and lived most of his life in New Orleans before returning back to Kountze. He drove trucks for a living and his CB handle was Roman Candle. He met the love of his life, Iline and they were married February 3, 1971 in Chatom, Alabama. He loved being surrounded by his family and was a loving brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wally and Estelle Roth; siblings, Isaac Edward Lilley, Clyde Roth, and Dorothy Roth McGee.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Iline Roth of Kountze; sons, Clarence “Buddy” Roth and wife, Becky of Jasper, and Thomas “Peanut” Ed Roth II and wife, Candi of Kountze; grandkids, Mercedes Roth, Zackary Roth, Chase Bell, and Cody Lewis; great grandkids, Austin Lewis, and Abby Lewis; sister, Dora Roth Gilmore of Batson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday May 9, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at the First Assembly of God Church in Kountze. The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 10, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church of Kountze, officiated by Reverend Mike Brown. Interment will follow at William Hart Cemetery in Kountze.

Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Dominick, Thomas Davila, Scotty Gilmore, Randy Cochran, Brian Gilmore, and Scotty “Bull” Gilmore Jr.
